Catch of the week:
David Mould from Sunderland will remember his Saturday session for quite some time. David fished brilliantly to record an 8 fish limit for a ‘fintastic’ total weight of 29lb including a standout 5lb home reared beauty.

Memorable moment of the week:
The fish of the week has become a very close run thing in recent weeks with many specimen trout making their way to the scales. Bait angler Mr. D. Watson managed to top the list with a lovely 5lb 8oz rainbow. Overall Mr. Watson went home with his 8 fish limit weighing in at 28lb 8oz - simply superb outlining the quality and size of the trout on offer.
  • Best areas and flies - Best areas continued to centre on the North and South Shore Bays, with the dam wall also prominent. Top lures are Cat’s Whisker and Dawson’s Olive; with some positive reports from anglers who opted for a nymph as the point fly.
  • Best areas and baits/lures: Both the North and South Shore Bays remained in favour, with the North Shore mid-section (deeper water) providing some superb sport throughout the brighter and warmer days. Anglers found mid-range casts with float and ledger tactics to be successful. Those who opted for brightly coloured PowerBait combinations, especially garlic scented varieties, reported the best sport.
Newsflash: Our stocking programme continues, as we look to capitalise on perfect conditions and optimum water temperatures.
