Fishery Closed:
Water levels at the reservoir have dropped exposing large areas of dangerous soft ground making the banks unsafe for fishing. Your safety and comfort is our primary concern and we are sorry to inform you that we have taken the decision to close Fontburn for fishing until further notice. However, we are pleased to confirm that our other reservoirs will remain open until the following dates:

Kielder – Friday 16 November 2018
Derwent – Thursday 28 February 2019
Hury - Thursday 28 February 2019
Scaling – Wednesday 31 October
Grassholme – Friday 30 November

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the early closure of Fontburn and look forward to welcoming you at our other reservoirs for some great late season sport. 

In the meantime, if water levels rise sufficiently we will re-open Fontburn reservoir for fishing.
