Catch of the week:
Ernie Butterfield catching his eight fish limit in two hours on a blustery day fishing the bay in front of the lodge. Ernie was switching between blue/mango Powerbait paste and rainbow paste on a ledger, catching six rainbow and two blue trout.
Memorable Moment of the week:
Chris Pickard and his son were fishing Grassholme for the first time and caught four fish on a credit cruncher in gale force conditions. They were using yellow and orange Mice-tails on a ledger rig near the boat jetty.
Best areas and flies / lures:
The Witch’s Hat and in front of the lodge have been consistent all week with strong westerly winds shoaling the fish up in this area. Most anglers have been having success using various Powerbait pastes and Mice-tails.
