Catch of the week:
Malcolm Longstaff caught and released nine fish next to the disabled platform and caught most on small black wet flies with the heaviest weighing in at 2lb 8oz.

Memorable moment of the week
Steve Jones managed to land two fish at the same time, with one taking his Dawson’s Olive on the point and the other taking a Bibio on the dropper. It’s the first tine Steve has achieved this and made it a day to remember!

Best areas and flies:
With strong westerly winds this week fish have been close to the shore line from the disabled platform along to Reedy Point. Most anglers fishing this area have been catching on a combination of lures and wet flies. Dawson’s Olives, Black fritz, Kate McLaren and Bibio have all proven successful.
The Hury Classic will be held on Sunday 16 September, check out our Facebook page in the coming weeks for details of prizes and rules.
