Catch of the week:
Harry Thomas caught the biggest fish of the week, a nice 3lb rainbow taken in New House Bay on a Fire Red Blob on a di5 sinking line. Harry caught three more from Reedy Point to cap a decent days fishing.

Memorable moment of the week
Fred Marsden landed his first ever blue trout which we have been stocking plenty of in recent weeks. Fred managed three fish during his visit, all taken on a mini Cat’s Whisker.

Best areas and flies:
Cold temperatures at the start of the week made for some tough fishing. Those who have ventured out and braved the elements have found fish pinned to the bottom. Fast sinking lines and bouyant flies or slowly retrieved lure patterns are the best bet. The week ahead promises milder weather, so we might see a few fish moving back into the margins.
