Catch of the week:
Along with our weekly stocking a further four fish over 10lb have also been stocked this week at Kielder Waterside. Hopefully some lucky angler will land one of these cracking fish.

Memorable Moment of the week:

Jason Owings, on holiday from Essex, had some great sport earlier in the week whilst fishing at Kielder Waterside. Mr. Owings took four fish on a bubble float and worm with a further three fish taken on a small spinner. The largest was 3lb 2oz and he also landed a beautiful brown trout of 1lb which he returned.

  • Best areas and Flies - The mouth of the Belling inlet and Plashetts were the best fly areas. Small spiders, Ace of Spades and sedge patterns have proved the most productive flies fished on Di2 lines.
  • Best areas and baits / lures: Kielder Waterside, Stockie Bay and Tower Knowe have been the best bait areas with spinners and worm taking the majority of fish.
Special message for the new week: All boats are currently due back at the jetty for 7pm. With continued low water levels all bank anglers should take extra care when walking over exposed mud and sand. Boat anglers should also stay well out fro the margins as many underwater islands and gravel bars are becoming exposed.
