Catch of the week:
Charles Carr caught a limit weighing of 19lb at the Belling with yellow eggs, John Robinson got his catch weight of 10lb on Hawkhope slip way on ledgered worm and sweet corn.

Memorable Moment of the week:

Due to recent rainfall, water levels are rising and we have seen an increase in the number of boat anglers reporting good returns.

  • Best areas and Flies - Gowanburn and Plashetts have been the best fly areas. Black lures and Daddy / Hopper patterns have proved the most productive flies fished either on the bottom or on floating lines.
  • Best areas and baits / lures: Kielder Waterside and Tower Knowe have been the best bait areas with worm taking the majority of fish.
Please Note: All boats are currently due back at the Jetty for 6.30pm. With continued low water levels all bank anglers should take extra care when walking over exposed mud and sand. Boat anglers should also stay well out as many underwater islands and gravel bars are becoming exposed.
