  • Best areas and Flies - Whickhope Inlet has been the best area for fly anglers with muddlers and black lures have taking most fish near any inlets. Please note that all boat fishing finished for the season Wednesday 31 October
  • Best areas and baits / lures: Hawkhope and Gordon’s Walls have been the most productive spots for bait anglers. Powerbait and spinners have produced the best catches along with ledgered worm. Best catch of the week from the north shore at Gordon’s Wall by Allan Meadows spinning with a small black and gold Toby
Please Note: Fishing boats have now finished on Kielder for the 2018 season; Tower Knowe Visitor Centre has also closed until spring 2019.
With low water levels all bank anglers should take extra care when walking over exposed mud and sand. Boat anglers should also stay well out as many underwater islands and gravel bars are becoming exposed.
