The Gretter family held their friendly family bank fishing competition this week. Mr Brian Gretter caught the largest fish of the week and another 5 rainbow to take first place on the day. Later in the week Mrs Sarah Gretter caught her 8 fish limit to claim overall first place. The family of 6 caught the majority of their fish from Kielder Waterside on Powerbait, and Tower Knowe on Worm and Powerbait.
  • Best areas and Flies - Belling Inlet and Stockie Bay have proved the most productive boat areas. Blobs, Muddlers and Fry Patterns have taken the most fish.
  • Best areas and baits / lures: Tower Knowe, Matthews Linn and Kielder Waterside have been the most productive spots for bait anglers. Powerbait, worm and spinners have produced the best results.
Please Note: As we will be hosting the Kielder Marathon event there will be no fishing from boat or banks this weekend Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 October.
