Catch of the week:
With High winds and poor weather, fishing has been quiet this week. Graham Rodderson of Amble tried fishing with a small spinning fly at Hawkhope and managed to catch this weeks’ largest fish. He also landed another three fish all on the same lure. Some larger fish have also been seen chasing fry in the shallows at Hawkhope and Matthew’s Linn. Fishing with fry patterns or spinners has often resulted in some good fish being caught or at least some exciting takes whilst reeling in!

  • Best areas and Flies - Belling Inlet and Matthew’s Linn have proven most productive boat areas. Muddlers and black lures have taken the most fish.
  • Best areas and baits / lures: Hawkhope, Matthew’s Linn and Kielder Waterside have been the most productive spots for bait anglers. Powerbait and spinners have been the best baits and lures.
Special message for the new week: All Boats are available from 8.30am and are due back to the Finger Jetty at 6pm
