Memorable Moment of the week:
Frank Hodgson from Northallerton had a brilliant day fishing at the timber groyne with a combination of a Black and Peacock Spider and Kate McLaren on a floating line returning a total of 15 rainbows.

Best areas and flies:
There was a large shoal of rising fish stretching from the timber groyne area to the big tree which fly anglers took advantage of with great success. Derek Ogden from Redcar fished at the big tree using a Dawson’s Olive and returned nine rainbows.

Best areas and baits / lures:
The best areas this week were the east end of the Dam Wall and along the south shore. Spring green Powerbait paste, worm and blue mango have been the most successful combinations. Alan Marsay from Skinningrove fished with a ledgered worm and Powerbait cocktail at the east end and landed five rainbows.
