All of Harry’s fish were caught using ledgered White Mice Tails and Green PowerBait. Ian Grand from Hartlepool caught his 8 fish limit before noon which included two superb 3lb rainbows.

Memorable Moment of the week:
Saturday proved to be absolutely astonishing! Every angler caught their full 8 fish limit with five anglers purchasing a second permit and reaching 16 fish for day. Ian Mcquade from Stockton was the first to weigh in his 16 fish catch limit at 1.30pm weighing 24lb 6oz all caught on Maggot and Green PowerBait.

Best areas and flies:
Early part of the week Dave Bachelor from Whitby worked his way along the South Shore and East bay returning 6 rainbows on a Black Fritz. At the weekend Tony Ward from Guisborough used three flies; Dawson’s Olive, Cats Whisker and Gold Invicta to net 5 rainbows at the West End returning two of them.

Best areas and baits / lures:
All areas of the reservoir has fished well this week however, the West End fished the best. Although other colours worked throughout the week Green PowerBait was by far the most productive. Worm, Maggot and Mice Tails also caught well.

Newsflash: This weeks stocking will include more tagged fish
